Demon Slayer Star Reacts to Infinity Castle Movie Return for Surprising Role

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is coming to theaters with a brand new movie in just a few more days, and one of its stars revealed exclusively to ComicBook their reaction to returning for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle in a wild new role. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle officially kicked off a new trilogy of feature film releases earlier this Summer in Japan, and after many months of waiting fans in the United States are finally going to get to see the new movie in action for themselves. Which means getting to see some huge fights going down.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has been steadily revealing the major fights fans will get to see in theaters, and one major fight is between Zenitsu Agatsuma and a surprising new demon enemy who has become one of the Upper Ranks. It turns out this new enemy is actually a returning familiar face from way back in the first season, and voice star Alejandro Saab opened to ComicBook about how he felt getting to return to the franchise as Kaigaku in a whole new kind of way with this film.

Demon Slayer’s Kaigaku Reacts to Returning for Infinity Castle Movie

“It was surreal,” Saab began when talking about returning as a new version of Kaigaku for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle. “I was very grateful that they called me back, because knowing the source material, I was like, ‘I hope they bring me back.’ Because you never know, right? Because sometimes they just change things in production, but I’m glad that they were having me back, and I’m so excited for people to see what we got to do in Infinity Castle. So, it’s very exciting. I’ve been looking forward to it a lot.” But Saab was very careful to avoid any major spoilers about his return.

But while Saab had to dance around spoilers, the actor did reveal a little of the inspiration for his performance behind this new version of Kaigaku, “I just draw from past experiences in my life…anytime I’ve personally felt insecure or someone has slighted me,” the actor explained. “Which I know sounds awful, but as actors, we have to draw from past experiences to add to our performances and make it as believable as we possibly can. That’s pretty much what I did, and just added some aggro-ness to it. It’s so hard to put into words without giving too much away. I’m very excited, and…that’s all I can pretty much say, so just watch the movie and you’ll see what I’m referring to.”

Who Is Kaigaku in Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle?

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle throws Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps into the fight of their lives as they face off against Muzan Kibutsuji’s army of forces. There are a number of major fights that are highlighted in just this first film alone, and one of them is an unfortunate reunion for Zenitsu. Alejandro Saab first appeared way back in Demon Slayer’s first season, and has a very important connection to Zenitsu.

Without giving too much away about the character’s return that hasn’t already been revealed through new trailers, Kaigaku is going to be the opponent that Zenitsu needs to take down in the new movie. This is the biggest fight for the young hero yet, and Saab really brings out all of the intensity needed for a fight on such a massive scope.
