It’s been a long time coming, but Dragon Ball Super finally reached its 100th episode this past weekend. The anime celebrated with one action-packed episode that saw Goku fight the female Super Saiyans. And, as Marvel fans noticed, the episode also included a lovely Avengers easter egg.
As you can see in the GIF below, Kale was animated during one fight sequene to mirror a certain green superhero. The Universe 6 warrior powered into her berserker Super Saiyan form after Kale felt threatened by Goku and Caulifla’s strength. Enraged, Kale then went on a rampage that had her fight Goku and other Tournament of Power opponents.
However, when Kale fought Goku, the poor guy got treated just like Loki.
Dragon Ball Super directly referenced the scene from The Avengers where the Hulk flings Loki into the floor of Stark Tower like a doll. The homage sees Kale and the Hulk mirror each other exactly, and poor Goku is just there for the ride.
In fact, this isn’t the only way Kale can compare to the Hulk. Not only does the heroine’s berserker form make her bulky, but Kale’s Super Saiyan state has a green glow and makes her single-mindedly angry. There’s also the fact that Kale picked on Goku, a warrior who can be considered a god much like Loki.
Just, don’t call Goku puny. The Saiyan probably won’t take that too well.
