The Tournament of Power is underway on Dragon Ball Super, and Goku is loving all the fights he’s dabbled in so far. The Saiyan will soon be forced to face-off with Universe 9 as its team is eager to settle a score with Goku. However, it doesn’t look like the pile-on will work in Universe 9’s favor by any means.
A slew of new synopses for Dragon Ball Super dropped today, and translations have been shared online thanks to dedicated fans. Over on Twitter, Todd Blankenship shared his summary of the anime’s 99th episode, and the synopsis confirms Goku will get Universe 9 annihilated. The new description for “Show It Off! Krillin’s Reserves Of Strength!!” can be read below:
“At the Tournament of Power, where the destruction of each universe is on the line, Universe 7 led by Son Goku wins against every member of Universe 9, which is therefore annihilated. People are left speechless, but before long the battle resumes. In the midst of the battle, Krillin seems distracted by thoughts of Android 18 while he fights Universe 10’s Jium.”
Thanks to the new synopsis, a long-held suspicion about the Tournament of Power has now been confirmed. Fans have speculated for some time that Universe 9 would be the first victim of the ‘Universal Survival’ arc. The universe touts some hot-headed warriors, but its Mortal Rank is the lowest of all the event’s competitors. Universe 7 was barely able to pull out a better score than the underdogs of Universe 9, and Goku will soon show the team why it’s a bad idea to ever step to him. But, once the Saiyan watches Universe 9 and all its inhabitants get obliterated, the hero might just realize the dangers his own home is facing.
