Dragon Ball Super Is Giving [SPOILER] A Super Saiyan Makeover

Warning! Spoilers for Dragon Ball Super’s 100th episode lie below!

Fans of Dragon Ball Super are less than a week away from watching one of the show’s most anticipated moments. The series will soon see the Super Saiyans of Universe 6 go up against Goku’s squad at the Tournament of Power. And, as expected, one of the fighters will be getting to get a total make-over.

Over on Twitter, preview images of Dragon Ball Super‘s 100th episode are making their rounds, and one picture of Caulifla has fans buzzing. The girl can be seen powering into her Super Saiyan form, but Caulifla does not look like she has during previous level-ups. In fact, it looks like the Universe 6 warrior has managed to take on a new transformation entirely.

Judging by Caulifla’s bulging muscles and overflowing ki aura, fans are thinking the Super Saiyan manages to tap into a form previously used by Future Trunks. The still suggests that Caulifla may tap into the Ultra Super Saiyan form, a fan-made name for a power-up Future Trunks used during his battle against Perfect Cell.

While the state is similar to the Legendary Super Saiyan form, the USSJ transformation is not a new state in and of itself. The form simply makes the base Super Saiyan power-up more powerful, and the USSJ mode helps rid it users of inhibitions which might make them go easy on an opponent in battle. Still, the USSJ power does have its drawbacks mainly in speed; The transformation gives its users an insane amount of muscle, and the added mass can make the form more difficult to handle. Going USSJ may look cool, but its practicality is weighed down by far more negatives than positives.

Still, fans will be more accepting of Caulifla going USSJ than her finding out how to go Super Saiyan Blue. The synopsis for Dragon Ball Super’s 100th episode has teased the girl may take on such a form, but they were not happy. At least with USSJ, fans are excited to see what Caulifla could do with the power-up. You can check out some of the best fan responses below:

If you are going to hate on any Dragon Ball character, maybe try to avoid the one Super Saiyan who is as hot-headed as Goku. Caulifla would not think twice about pummeling her haters if given the chance.

The difference between Caulifla’s Super Saiyan form are impossible to ignore. When the girl first learned how to power up, the only thing that really changed was her hair. Now, with Caulifla’s new form, it looks like everything is getting an upgrade.

Having Caulifla go SSB isn’t out of the question just yet, but Bulky Caulifla is infinitely more preferred by fans. Just look at her; She looks like she could snap Krillin in two.

Trunks is not the only character who has beefed up like Caulifa before. Vegeta has also made himself bigger to maximize her energy output when fighting Cell, but the trade-off was not worth it. Having massive muscles takes a toll on the most fit Saiyan, and Vegeta ultimately lost to Cell because of his reckless exhaustion.
