A new trailer has finally been released for Cardcaptor Sakura, with CLAMP’s releasing the promotion of the anime’s official website on a few days ago. The anime will tell the story of Sakura, a middle-school girl who is having some unusual dreams. The animated series will be based on the first manga installment, which is titled “Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card.

Meanwhile, CLAMP has also recently launched the sequel manga series for the franchise, which is titled “Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card-hen in June 2016. While the most recent installment of the franchise was released on September 13th this year, titled “Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card-Hen Prologue, which also came bundled together with the OVA “Sakura to Futatsu no Kuma.”
The new animation is expected to premiere on NHK BS Premium of January 7th, 2018, with the show said to then repeat weekly after that. Already, the manga franchise has generated more than 1.5 million copies in print, with fans eagerly awaiting the premiere of the franchises animated season.
