One Piece fans are well aware of Sanji’s love of women, but most never thought they’d get to see the pirate walk down the aisle. However, the anime and its most recent saga seems to have changed Sanji’s ways as he seems ready to wed Charlotte Pudding for good. Now, fans can watch a promo teasing the impending nuptials, but it is not giving audiences a good feeling.

Toei Animation has released an official teaser for One Piece‘s 817th episode. The release, which will debut on December 10, is already striking a chord with manga fans thanks to its title. “Moist Cigarette! The Night Before Sanji’s Wedding” has got readers buzzing, and anime fans can see why.
The promo, which can be seen below, shows Sanji as the man approaches Pudding’s room via her balcony after being shooed away. The hero is seen holding flowers for his fiance, but Sanji comes to realize there’s something amiss when Pudding starts crying. The daughter of Big Mom is shown speaking with Sanji’s sister as the man listens in. The clip’s flashbacks to a rather desperate Monkey D. Luffy only confirm something really bad is in store for Sanji.

If you are a fan of One Piece’s manga, then you will already know what Sanji’s snooping will bring. The hero hears Pudding talking with Reiju the night before her wedding before the girl bursts in laughter. It’s there Pudding says she would never really marry Sanji and that she fooled everyone into thinking her feelings were real. Fans then learn Pudding plans to shoot Sanji during their wedding before Big Mom’s gang massacres the entire Vinsmoke Family since they will all be gathered for the wedding. With Reiju has Pudding’s hostage, Sanji can do nothing but listen outside as his fiance reveals her true self, and the moment marks a major shift in the ‘Whole Cake Island’ arc.
