Fridays were dedicated to Anya’s summer visuals, and each of them has a unique theme. The final theme features her in a pink kimono with the pattern of Mr. Chimera, the plush toy she carried with her since before Loid Forger adopted her. Even her hair accessory is different than usual, as her clip also resembles Mr. Chimera. She is lighting fireworks with a bucket of water placed beside her for safety measures. The water also shows a reflection of the large-scale fireworks bursting in the sky, which often happens during a Summer festival. It’s an iconic part of Japanese culture, occurring mainly from July through August and marking the peak of the season.

The upcoming season is expected to drop in October 2025, although the exact release date has yet to be revealed. Although Anya takes the center stage in this Summer project, the upcoming season won’t sideline the rest of the characters. Season 2 ends with Loid and Bond completing a mission together, which surprisingly ended smoothly. Operation Strix is still in progress, but unfortunately, Loid hasn’t been able to make any major progress except for meeting Donovan Desmond once.

The third season is expected to wrap up the WISE Arc, which will feature Loid’s heartbreaking backstory. The trailer already showed a glimpse at his childhood self, and we will finally learn more about the best spy in Westalis. Additionally, Season 2 is also expected to adapt the Friendship Schemes, Red Circus, and Mole Hunt Arcs. The first season was released in two parts, comprising 25 episodes in total, while the second season consisted of only 12 episodes.

The episode count of Season 3 hasn’t been revealed yet, so there’s no way to determine if the season will adapt the Term Finals Arc. Each of these arcs offers something new to the story, as we see slow but crucial progress in Operation Strix. The season will also introduce one of the most crucial characters to Loid’s mission, who is directly tied to Donovan Desmond.

You can catch up with the first two seasons on Crunchyroll and Netflix. The manga is available to read on the official app of Manga Plus and the Viz Media website.
