Chris Agar is a writer and editor for ComicBook.com. He is a graduate of Wesley College’s Bachelor of Media Arts and Masters of Sport Leadership programs. His career in film journalism began in 2013, when he was hired by Screen Rant to write weekly box office prediction posts. Channeling his passion for all things film, Chris worked his way up the ladder at Screen Rant, ultimately serving as a senior news editor overseeing core operations. During his time at Screen Rant, Chris wrote several news articles and features, and was one of the site’s approved movie critics on Rotten Tomatoes. He also covered multiple events, including San Diego Comic-Con and Star Wars Celebration. Chris left Screen Rant in 2022, becoming an editor for Static Media’s various websites. He joined the ComicBook team in 2024.
Chris credits Toy Story and Star Wars with launching a lifelong fascination with movies that led him on the path to his career. He now has a wide range of cinematic tastes, enjoying the latest Hollywood blockbusters, Oscar contenders, and everything in between. His favorite directors include Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese, and Quentin Tarantino (among several others).
