If you haven't been reading Todd McFarlane, Brian Holguin and Whilce Portacio's Spawn relaunch, then you no longer have an excuse not to jump onboard. Image Comics has teamed up with MySpace to release Spawn #185 for free online. "Todd McFarlane Productions is excited to be partnering with Myspace Comics to bring the fans Spawn #185," Todd McFarlane said. "Myspace Comics is the wave of the new generation. Many fans have turned to this form of modern communication. I hope you enjoy looking at a medium that is challenging how things have been traditionally done." In Spawn #185, Todd McFarlane and Whilce Portacio relaunched the Spawn series by presenting the shocking death of Al Simmons, who has been the lead in the series since it debuted way back in 1992. Spawn #185 also included the mysterious awakening of the long comatose Patient 47. The first printing of the comic sold out very quickly, and there is a second printing still available in stores. Spawn #186 just hit comic stores this past week, and it has already sold out at the distribution level. In Spawn #186, there are some hints presented as to the link between Simmons' death and Patient 47. A new printing of the issue will soon be available.
