Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Lorelei Concept Art Released

has released the concept art for the Asgardian villain, Lorelei.Lorelei made her first appearance in the closing scene of last week’s episode, “T.A.H.I.T.I.” She will feature much more prominently in this week’s episode, “Yes Men.”Lorelei’s concept art was created by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. costume designer, Ann Foley.In the Marvel Comics universe, Lorelei is the sister of Enchantress, one of Thor’s most powerful opponents. Lorelei is less adept at the mystical arts than her sister is, but has some mystical skill and is capable of seducing and bending the will of most males. She also possesses a kiss capable of turning the recipient into a granite statue.Lorelei, played be Elena Satine, won’t be the only Asgardian making a guest appearance in this week’s episode. Thor‘s Lady Sif, played by Jaimie Alexander, will be making an appearance as well.In “Yes Men,” when Coulson and his team are attacked by Lorelei–a deadly seductress who escaped from Asgard–Thor’s Lady Sif, her longtime nemesis, steps in to try to save them.Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesday nights on ABC.
