Artist Alex Ross has debuted his second variant cover to tomorrow’s Star War #1, featuring Luke Skywalker standing amongst the cosmos.
Ross, a popular comic book artist known for his distinct painting style, is only releasing 3,000 copies of the rare variant, according to his official Facebook page. This will be Ross’ second variant cover for the issue, but that cover will only be available in comic shops and specialty retailers.

The covers will cost $9.99 a piece. Serious collectors can go large however, and purchase a signed copy with a Certificate of Authenticity for $34.99. We’re not sure what that converts to in space Credits, but you’d probably still make a solid investment with the cover.
hereAnd here’s Ross’ standard Star Wars #1 variant, in case you missed it.
Star Wars #1 is the first Star Wars comic series published by Marvel Comics in almost thirty years. The series takes place in between the events of A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, as the Rebel forces try to build off of their victory against the Death Star and destory the Empire once and for all. Written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by John Cassaday, the first issue hits comic shops and digital storefronts tomorrow.
