The Saturday box office numbers are in and with no surprise Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper is killing the competition. Deadline now has the film set to become the highest grossing film ever over Super Bowl weekend with $31.85 million. American Sniper comes in like a wrecking ball and dethrones 2008’s Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best Of Both Worlds Concert for the record. American Sniper will finish the weekend with a domestic total just shy of $250 million.

In other box office news, Project Almanac and Paddington are dueling for second place. Both films should finish the weekend around $8.5 million. Although, Paddington is expected to edge out Project Almanac as the Super Bowl shouldn’t have as much of an effect upon the kid-friendly film.
