At the end of the first season, Ash made a deal with Ruby “to pass the baton and be done as a Deadite killer.” When the new season begins, we’ll see Ash having a ball in his favorite city: Jacksonville, Florida. However, it is short lived as Deadites track down Ash and his buddies Pablo and Kelly, nullifying his truce with Ruby.

For reasons not provided, evil calls Ash back to Elk Grove, Michigan, his hometown. “Ash has a very bad reputation in his hometown,” Ted Raimi explains. “30 years ago, it was said that he murdered his friends and even his sister in a small cabin.” Raimi is, of course, referring to events that took place in the 1981 original film, The Evil Dead, which was directed by his brother, Sam.

The second season of the STARZ Original series Ash vs Evil Dead will be 10 half-hour episodes. The cast is led by Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, “Burn Notice”) in the role of Ash Williams; Lucy Lawless (“Salem,” “Spartacus”) as Ruby, who now possesses the powerful Necronomicon; Ray Santiago (“Touch,” Meet the Fockers) as Pablo Simon Bolivar, Ash’s loyal sidekick dealing with the trauma he suffered in the cabin; and Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas) as Kelly Maxwell, who, grief-stricken after the death of her parents, plots revenge against The Evil Dead.

Lee Majors (Do You Believe) will play the role of Brock Williams, Ash’s father, and Ted Raimi (“Xena: Warrior Princess,” Spider-Man) will play the role of Ash’s childhood best friend, Chet Kaminski

Sam Raimi serves as executive producer with Rob Tapert (Evil Dead, “Spartacus,” Xena: Warrior Princess”), Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, “Burn Notice”) and Ivan Raimi (Drag Me To Hell, Spider-Man 3) along with Craig DiGregorio (“Workaholics,” “Chuck”) who serves as executive producer/showrunner. Aaron Lam (“Spartacus”) and Moira Grant (“Spartacus”) serve as producers.

Season 2 of Ash vs Evil Dead will premiere Sunday, October 2 at 8pm ET on Starz.
