Warren Ellis will write, and Mike McKone and Jason Keith will illustrate, an upcoming original graphic novel featuring The Avengers from Marvel Comics.Titled Avengers: Endless Wartime, the book will also feature “augmented reality” enhancements viewable on the Marvel AR app, making it the first original graphic novel to do so.Rumors have been circulating for some time now that top-tier talent would be creating original graphic novels for the publisher. Not long ago, we speculated that it might be connected to a series of miniseries announced by Marvel’s Axel Alonso, but unless this is to be rush-solicited for summer release in single issues, there seems to be no connection. The book, available in October, will also feature an introduction written by Clark Gregg (Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D.) and an afterword by Stan Lee, according to the book’s Amazon entry. Here’s that entry, in part, to give a sense for what the book actually entails.
