The Pepsi Perfect bottle came and went with a bang on October 21, 2015, the day called “Back to the Future Day” by fans and companies hoping to cash in alike. In fact, the special collectible item sold so quickly, and with so much fanfare, that there was actually backlash against Pepsi for offering it, but not offering enough of them, instead of just being happy they’d every come out at all.

The Pepsi Perfect styled bottle was one of a plethora of “predictions” made in Back to the Future Part 2, as seen by Marty McFly and Doc Brown when they arrived to the future on – you guessed it – October 21, 2015.

Pepsi responded to the backlash with a second, “final” sale of some additional Pepsi Perfect bottles. Well, that round is over now, as well, with a complete sell out once again. There is, once again, some backlash from fans who say the website wasn’t loading properly at all, but Pepsi hasn’t responded to that in any way yet, though earlier in the day they offered an Amazon link to pre-order.

If only we could go back in time and get – MARTY! TO THE DELOREAN!
