Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released some new in-game footage of the Batmobile in action in Batman: Arkham Knight just before E3. Fans were excited to see Batman’s iconic vehicle in action, especially since it’s the most significant known addition to the gameplay of Arkham Knight. The gameplay footage was made somewhat bittersweet when it also revealed that Arkham Knight had been pushed back from its intended October 2014 release date into 2015.

A more specific date was not officially given at the time, but the Microsoft Store may have just revealed when fans will be able to play the conclusion to Rocksteady’s Arkham trilogy. Batman: Arkham Knight is currently available to preorder in the Microsoft Storeย and is listed for release on February 24, 2015.
The February date may end up being accurate, or it may just be a placeholder being used by Microsoft on their preorder screen. We won’t know for sure until Rocksteady gives the official word, but Microsoft probably didn’t chosoe that date at random.
A move to a date in February would make sense for Rocksteady and WBIE. Batman: Arkham Knight wouldn’t be the first big name game to be rescheduled from a Q4 release date to a release during Q1 of the following year in order to avoid the crowded holiday games market.
Batman: Arkham Knight will be released sometime in 2015
