On June 13, the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak held a fundraiser event called Sunset at the Zoo. Several items were auctioned off to raise funds for the zoo, including a walk-on role in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. The Role brought in $3,500 for the zoo.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently filming in Michigan. Its $131 million budget makes it the biggest movie to ever film in the state. Reports say that the film received $35 million in tax incentives for filming in Michigan.
