Disney’s Big Hero 6, an adaptation of the Marvel Comics miniseries of the same name, is appearing at the company’s D23 convention this weekend, with a display already up and spotted by Superhero Hype.”It’s based upon a very short series of comic books and it’s six comic books,” Disney’s John Lasseter, co-founder of Pixar, told Entertainment Weekly yesterday. “They’re out of the Marvel universe, but more of a Japanese manga style. We’re creating something based upon that so it’s really a Disney Animation production. A loose adaptation — like all adaptations are. They almost have to be.”Big Hero 6 will make its way to theaters on November 7, 2014.
