CB: I just saw a fan come up to and start crying a minute ago, crying because Trip died! How does that make you feel?
BB: It was emotional. When they come up and they’re like “Oh my god! I can’t believe you died!” And they have tears in their eyes. It’s emotional! It’s emotional for me, I’m like “Stop! You’re gonna make me cry!” It’s crazy. You know, and the writers, you know, and the cast, we all had a good cry fest. Agent Trip just took that turn for the worse. Just to know that Trip had that much effect on people is amazing. It’s an amazing feeling. Especially as an actor because it means that you’re doing your job and then the writers… You know? It’s amazing.
All these fans want Trip to come back. Do you think there’s a chance?
I don’t know! Marvel! Is there a chance? There is a hashtag that Clark [Gregg] started. It’s #TripLives which has gone viral. It’s been a huge, huge following. Hopefully, he’ll come back. I want him to come back. I feel like there was a lot of stuff he didn’t get accomplished before he died. We’ll see. I don’t know, it’s up to Marvel.
You were at the Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere, did you get to meet anybody awesome there you hadn’t met before?
Did I meet anybody I hadn’t met before… Who did I meet… Oh my God… I met so many people that night, it was crazy! For me, it was just great to be back with the cast, you know? It was like a big reunion and “Oh my god! BJ!” and “Oh my gosh, “Ming! Clark! Chloe!” Just seeing everybody. So, for me, I was looking forward to that more than anything – just being with the family… The producers, writers, it’s just so good. We’re just a family. It’s good.
Well, when you spend that much time together you become close.
Yeah! It’s like, you haven’t seen your family in so long and then it’s like I’m with my family and we’re going to the movie. You know? So, yeah, we got to see everybody there. All the super heroes and I’m like “I would like to be walking across that stage…alive!” So we’ll see… Marvel!
If you had to describe Avengers: Age of Ultron in one word, what is it?
Amazing!
Better than the first one?
They’re good! You can’t do that!
I withdraw the question! You’re staying busy, you’re on Being Mary Jane. What’s going on with that?
Being Mary Jane – we’re shooting season three right now, season two just ended, so I’m sure it’ll be on Netflix pretty soon, but you can catch all of season 1. It’s just amazing being in Atlanta shooting. It’s always fun to go to Atlanta. The city is amazing. For them just to have us there, to be able to shoot that show there, Mara [Brock Akil] and Salim [Akil], they’ve got a great storyline for this whole thing. Catch it on BET!
Not going to die on that show, right?
No! No! I’m the little brother! He better not die! You know? He better not die!

Do you hope to see Agent Trip come back to life? It’s not impossible, considering the Marvel Cinematic Universe has a hard time keeping characters dead.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 9 Eastern, while Being Mary Jane season 1 is currently available on Netflix.
