Minions global total now stands at $1.08B, surpassing Toy Story 3 ($1.07B) to become the No. 2 animated film of all time. Now the only question is: Does it have enough in the tank to beat Frozen ($1.28B)?

Meanwhile, Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible โ€” Rogue Nation is also cleaning up at the China box office.
