Over at the Lego Ideas page, Meltzer has a proposal for a new Lego set based on his and Eliopoulo’s book, I am Amelia Earhart.

“Our hope is to give girls (and boys) better heroes to play with,” Meltzer said.

If an idea submitted through the Lego Ideas site gets 10,000 supporters, Lego will consider making it. Recent successes submitted to the page include sets for Ghostbusters and Back to the Future. The project page (linked above) says that if the Aerhart project were to succeed, they’d like to make more from Melzer and Eliopoulos’s series, including Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, and Rosa Parks.

Meltzer and Eliopoulos’s bestselling book series that includes the upcoming I Am George Washington and I Am Jane Goodall in September. Meltzer’s new thriller, The House of Secrets, is out in June.
