Army Of Darkness Sequel

For quite some time, there have been rumors circulating that an Army Of Darkness sequel is in the works. The rumors probably got their start with Evil Dead remake director Fede Alvarez, who was quoted by Bloody Disgusting as saying that Sam Raimi was writing Army Of Darkness 2 and focusing on getting it made.A couple of weeks ago at the Nashville Comic Con, actor Bruce Campbell was asked if he would be making a sequel to Army Of Darkness. After joking around, he finally answered, “Alright sir, the answer is yes.” There’s no denying what he said, because it was in front of a crowd of hundreds of people. We even have the video embedded below. Then, things got even more serious last week when Alvarez tweeted that not him but Sam Raimi would be directing Army Of Darkness 2, which seemed to back up his earlier comments. However, in an interview with Erin Darling at Stan Lee’s Comikaze, Campbell is now denying the rumor. Campbell said, “It’s all internet BS. There’s no reality whatsoever. These random comments slip out of either my mouth or Sam Raimi’s mouth, next thing you know we’re making a sequel. Unless it’s announced from Renaissance Pictures it’s not real. Or unless you have a start date or a release date. We do appreciate people’s enthusiasm for another Army Of Darkness, but they should just wait until it’s real.”
