Today is National Pancake Day in the United States, and there are two ways comic fans can celebrate. The first, obviously, is to eat some pancakes! The second? Reread Mike Mignola’s two-page Hellboy short story, “Pancakes.”
“Pancakes” was originally published in black and white in Dark Horse Presents Annual 1999. The story tells of Hellboy’s first ever bite of a pancake, and the Lords of Pandemonium lamenting that he was then truly lost forever.
