This collection includes alternate and finished costume designs for Captain Kirk, Jaylah, Spock, Krall, Kalara, Keenser, and many other alien creatures featured in the film.

“Sanja [Milkovic Hays] did an extraordinary job, our costume designer,” Karl Urban said during a July press event. “Unlike the previous two films that we got to do with J.J., for whatever reason โ€” I don’t know the reason โ€” but the women in Starfleet uniforms in Star Trek Beyond have ranks on the uniforms which I think is a fantastic thing. A fan pointed that out to me. I was shocked that wasn’t the case [earlier]. One of the first things I did when I got to Vancouver was going to go and talk to Sanja about that, and she said, ‘Oh, don’t you worry, women will have ranks.’ It was a ’60s throwback to the costumes, but also making them slightly new. I had massive envy for Chris Pine’s survival suit.”

From Director Justin Lin and Producer J.J. Abrams comes one of the best-reviewed action movies of the year. Dispatched on a rescue mission to the farthest reaches of space, the USS Enterprise is ambushed by Krall, a ruthless enemy sworn against the Federation. Crash-landing on an uncharted hostile world, Captain Kirk, Spock and the crew are separated with no means of escape. Only Jaylah, a rebellious alien warrior, can help them reunite and find a way off the planet in a race against time to stop Krall’s deadly army from triggering all-out galactic war.
