Dark Knight Rises Phone Covers Coming From Nokia

In case it weren’t clear by all the Nokia-branded stuff, the exclusive trailer earlier today and the Dark Knight Rises phone, Warner Brothers has entered into a promotional partnership with Nokia and The Dark Knight Rises.The company’s new smartphone, the Lumia 710, comes in a specially tricked-out Dark Knight Rises edition but what’s the point in getting a phone that looks cool, if you have to slap a cover over it to protect it from wear and tear?Well, Nokia’s got that, ahem, covered. The manufacturer announced today a series of “X-press-On covers” for the Lumia which–whether you’ve got the black bat version or not–can have you trick out your phone with the distinct Dark Knight Rises Batman logo. The covers, like the Lumia, will be available exclusively through T-Mobile stores.If you’ve already got a Lumia 710 and want a cover, they’re free in-store. If you haven’t, but want one badly enough to sign a two-year service agreement with T-Mobile, the phone is free aftera $50 rebate, and then you’ll be a Lumia owner and, thus, qualify for the cover.As part of the promotion, Nokia is also sending one randomly-selected winner to the world premiere of The Dark Knight Rises, July 16 in New York.The covers come in a variety of colors, as seen at top, but sadly none of them are the “emergency Batphone red” seen in the beloved Adam West TV version of Batman. Which is a shame.The Dark Knight Rises will be in theaters on July 20.
