Earlier today, DC Entertainment declared July 23, 2014 to be “Batman Day” in celebration of Batman’s 75th anniversary. The announcement also stated that retailers would be receiving various collectibles, including four masks based on four different iconic looks from Batman’s history. DC Entertainment has now released the designs for those masks.While each mask is based on a different Batman era, they are all designed by artist Ryan Sook. The masks are:
- DETECTIVE COMICS #27: Batman’s first appearance, as drawn by Bob Kane (top left)
- BATMAN ’66: inspired by the classic TV series starring Adam West (top right)
- THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS: As drawn by Frank Miller (bottom left)
- DC COMICS โ THE NEW 52: As drawn by Greg Capullo (bottom right)

“Batman Day” celebrations will be held at comic book stores and bookstores nationwide on Wednesday, July 23. The celebration will continue at libraries on Saturday, July 26.
