DC has released several pages of interior art from Dark Knight III: The Master Race.The new miniseries will be co-written by Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello with artwork by Andy Kubert and Klaus Janson.The pages show Batman hunting criminals through the streets of Gotham while Wonder Woman battles some sort of centaur/minotaur hybrid.

Dark Knight III is the third installment in the Dark Knight trilogy, which began with Miller’s groundbreaking The Dark Knight Returns in 1986 and continued in the controversial 2001 miniseries The Dark Knight Strikes Again.Dark Knight III will run eight issues, with several tie-in one shots planned, including an Atom mini-comic drawn by Miller.The upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice draws heavily from The Dark Knight Returns and eagle-eyed fans have already caught several references to the comic in trailers for the movie.

DC has made New York Comic-Con all about Dark Knight III, with Frank Miller making a surprise appearance at a panel about the upcoming miniseries.DC has rolled out several new variant covers for the series this week, including a wraparound cover drawn by Miller.Miller also announced he was working on a new Sin City miniseries at NYCC.
