If Universal Studios Hollywood’s ‘Halloween Horror Nights‘ wasn’t scary enough as is, then it definitely will be once Eli Roth is finished with it. The horror guru is teaming up with Crypt TV to unveil a brand-new Terror Tram Experience at this year’s terrifying event.

Roth’s Terror Tram will introduce guests to a murderous clown known as “Hollywood Harry.” Once a beloved celebrity figure, the clown’s depraved nature eventually transforms his lovable image into that of a cold-blooded serial killer.

Roth spoke about how excited he was to be invited back for Halloween Horror Nights as the filmmaker brought his acclaimed movie Hostel to the event years ago. “I’m thrilled to be part of ‘Halloween Horror Nights’ again,” he said. “We wanted to completely fabricate an original story that brings together our absolute freakiest, scariest most disturbing ideas. The ‘Halloween Horror Nights’ team is the best in the business. Their production and execution is unmatched and I know this ‘Terror Tram’ experience will blow away all expectations, and haunt guests for the rest of their lives. ‘Halloween Horror Nights is the must-see event for any horror movie fan โ€” it’s like the Super Bowl for scary movies, and is my favorite event of the year.”

John Murdy, Universal Studio’s Creative Director, gushed over how thrilled his team was to work with Roth on the all-new Terror Tram. He said, “The goal of ‘Halloween Horror Nights’ is to create the most intense, most memorable and ultimately, the most terrifying experiences for our guests. And there is no better partner than Eli Roth to deliver unabashed horror that’s so real you can feel it.”

Looking at the new attraction, there’s no doubt that Roth was the perfect candidate to overhaul the Terror Tram. Those who’re brave enough to scout the new attraction will learn all about “Hollywood Harry” and his past as a television star. However, after the star falls on hard times, the Terror Tram follows “Hollywood Harry” as he seeks revenge against the industry that fed is killer instincts. Hiding out at Halloween Horror Nights, the homicidal clown had banded with other outcasts to sacrifice park guides and guests to their gory amusement.

So, if you’re not fond of even docile clowns, then you may want to avoid Halloween Horror Nights when it begins on September 16th. You might also try and avoid your TV sets as well since Hollywood is bringing back the very unfunny horror trope of clowns. Stephen King’s Pennywise will be making a comeback when IT hits theaters next year. And, recently, a very violent clown was seen in FX’s American Horror Story: Freak Show.
