Disney Infinity 3.0 will live for at least another year as the main platform of the game. With no new “4.0” update or new portal hardware this year, Disney Interactive is instead focusing on delivering more new content than they ever have before, with a new play set for Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel each in 2016, plus new figures and other content.

Marvel is first-up with Marvel Battlegrounds, a first-of-its-kind play set that features four-player local competitive gameplay, as players control any Marvel character released so far for Disney Infinity – that’s all the 2.0 Marvel characters and 3.0 Marvel characters – in all-out brawls against one another just in time for Captain America: Civil War. The play set ships on March 15, 2016 with the new Captain America: The First Avenger figure packed-in, and with Black Panther, Vision, Black Suit Spider-Man, and Ant-Man debuting in stores the same day.
While we’ll have much more on Battlegrounds next week, today ComicBook.com can show you exclusive close-up looks at four of the brand new figures, everyone except Ant-Man, who’s being kept under lock and key until his official debut next week (I was told he was there, just so small we couldn’t find him).
