Mortal Kombat has managed to endure all these years thanks to its cast of eclectic and powerful characters. While the roster is always growing, there are a few that seem to stand above the rest, and included in that elite grouping is princess Kitana.

Her costume has changed numerous times since she originally debuted, and today the spotlight shines on two versions of Kitana as beautifully created and worn by cosplayer Evgeniya Rukavitsina. The talented Russian cosplayer is seen in the costume from the most recent version of the game, Mortal Kombat X. This design has more ornate elements to it, with regal gold and silver accents throughout.

It wouldn’t be a Kitana cosplay without her trademark steel fans, and those are perfectly recreated in the photos as well. Her Mortal Kombat X set was photographed by MakKs Tobi, and like the costume, there is a clean and elegant look to the photos.

The same can be said for an additional set that features Rukavitsina in Kitana’s costume from Mortal Kombat 9. You can see the stark differences between the costume directions, as 9 didn’t include near the amount of fabric as her newest costume. Even if the newer look is preferred, Rukavitsina still did an amazing job replicating the costume, which benefitted some excellent photo work from Pugoffka-sama.

You can view more photos of her impressive Kitana in the gallery, and for more of Rukavitsina’s work you can head to her Facebook, Deviant Art, and Instagram pages.
