Last week, we had the pleasure of speaking with the film’s cast members, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell. We learned of a scene Bell, who plays Ben Grimm in the upcoming reboot, had a particular interest in watching but didn’t make the cut of the final film.
You can read the exchange, where the cast members reflect on the cut scene, below.

Bell: I had a scene with Kate and apparently it’s cut! I was really excited about it!
Mara: It was so cute. Apparently not. Apparently it was too cute.
Bell: Apparently it was too cute because we’re like not the love interest, so…”
Jordan: I have no idea what they’re talking about
Mara: You wouldn’t because it was a scene between [Jamie and I]!
Bell: It was a scene where Dr. Storm is at Reed’s house trying to tell his parents how talented Reed is and Reed’s parents are going like, ‘Okay, we don’t know what our son is, but okay.’ And she’s kind of waiting outside and I come to, like, Reed’s house, and I’m like, kind of awkward cause she’s a girl and I’m like, ‘What’s going on in there? What are they talking about? Is he gonna be alright? Do I need to take care of this?’ But really I played the scene with a superstar, it was kind of fun.
Mara: And that was the first thing I shot. It wasn’t the first scene you shot.
Bell: Right. But it was fun. Cut.
