Prior to the game, Lady Gaga performed a National Anthem for the ages.
Twitter and the rest of the Internet blew up, raving about the American Horror Story stars’ performance. The pop icon knocked the performance out of the park to open up the evening’s festivities.

Ant-Man vs. Hulk

Before half-time, Coca-Cola unleashed the Hulk. Literally.
In a surprise ad from Marvel and Coke, we got to see cinematic versions of Ant-Man and the Hulk do brief battle over a can of coke. Ant-Man snuck into Dr. Banner’s lab, stole the mini-can, and the big green monster chased him in a fit of rage.
Sure, it’s obviously not canon to Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a lot of fun.

2016 is a big year for comic book movies. Sunday was a big night for each of them which are coming in the first half of the year.
Throughout the day, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros. and Marvel Studios released a total of five comic book movie TV spots. Deadpool, Batman v. Superman, Captain America: Civil War, and X-Men: Apocalypse were all on display.
Now just think about this Super Bowl’s comic book movie push and what it can be with next year’s, which can include The Wolverine, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Wonder Woman, and Marvel’sย Spider-Man.

Nothing against Chris Martin and Coldplay here but the Super Bowl half time show didn’t feel liek it properly kicked off until the Half Time Show Greatest Hits albums started to play.
Bruno Mars and Beyonceย stormed the field and absolutely rocked the half time show. Bruno Mars headlined the event in 2014 and Beyonceย did the same in 2013. Having them back on the biggest stage any performerย can playย on was more than welcome.

No, the Doritos baby didn’t quite make our top five list, though it did provide some good laughs. However, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows trailer definitely earned a spot.
Adding Stephen Amell to the cast was only the beginning of things this movie appears to have done right. With each new image and bit of footage this movie keeps looking more and more like a love letter to the young hearts of those who grew up loving the heroes in a half-shell and is still fresh enough for new fans to latch on.
