After a fifteen-year furlough, male fashion icon Derek Zoolander is back and more gorgeous than ever. While there’s been no lack of female superheroes who have tried their hand at professional modeling, only one male superhero has ever explored a career in strutting down the runway and showing off fashion’s latest trends.Given that superhero costumes are more fashionable than ever, it’s actually a bit surprising we haven’t seen more superheroes explore the high stakes world of modeling.

So, in honor of Zoolander 2, here’s five superheroes we feel would be great male models:

Nightwing

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Nightwing is the only male superhero that’s actually been a model.ย  Dick Grayson became a model to investigate a local designer’s ties to two metahuman criminals.ย  ย After sleeping with the designer, Grayson performed in one of the designer’s shows, which coincidentally had a superhero theme.ย  Putting on a designer version of his costume on, Nightwing wowed everyone in the crowd, including Jason Todd (who was also investigating the two criminals).ย  Nightwing’s modeling days ended after he brought the two criminals in, but he could probably return to the catwalk whenever he’d like considering he still has the finest butt in the DC Universe.

Noh-Varr

A kooky alien teenager from Kree, Noh-Varr AKA Marvel Boy has the build, the looks and the moves to be a great male model.ย  In addition to his superhuman ability to look great in an impossibly tight shirt, Noh-Varr can also stick to any surface, meaning that he’d never have to worry about slipping on the runway. ย ย Noh-Varr’s recently begun to embrace Earth culture, so it’s probably only a matter of time before he discovers the world of high fashion.

Wonder Man

With a costume that includes a bright red peacoat and matching sunglasses, Wonder Man looks like he belongs on the cover of GQ instead of an Avengers roster.ย  The ionic-powered superhero quit the Avengers to pursue a career in acting during the 1980s, although he didn’t have much success until studios discovered he was invulnerable and could do his own stunts.ย  Wonder Man certainly has the poise and public presence to succeed in modeling, and is even teammates with the Wasp, who’s one of Marvel’s premiere fashion designers.ย  Maybe she could even design him a better costume!ย

Johnny Storm

Johnny Storm is known for dating fashion models and actresses during his free time, although it’s never quite clear how he meets any of them.ย  Sure, you could argue that Johnny picks up fellow celebrities at one of New York’s many trendy nightclubs, but I like to think that Johnny’s lurking on the edges of the fashion world, using his girlfriends as an excuse to go to all the biggest fashion shows.ย  Johnny’s probably too hot to be taken seriously as a model, though, unless a designer can use some unstable molecules to make an outfit that doesn’t burn up whenever he “flames on”.ย ย

Cosmic Boy

I don’t know much about fashion in the 31st century, but I think you’d have to be pretty bold to pull off Cosmic Boy’s costume.ย  Mike Grell resdesigned Cosmic Boy’s outfit during the 1970s, replacing a purple and black body suit with what was functionally a loose corset and highsocks.ย  No one knew how Cosmic Boy’s outfit actually stayed in place, but it seems that fashion technology had evolved in the future to eliminate straps, hooks, or any other kind of fastening device.ย  ย
