While Game of Thrones‘ is best-known for its dark, political drama, the folks over at HBO decided to reveal different side of the series to fans at San Diego Comic Con. At a panel earlier today, the team showed off the Game of Thrones Season 6 blooper reel to raucous laughter and applause.

The video starts off with the normally imposing Tyrion Lannister, played by Peter Dinklage, delivering a difficult line. Well, maybe ‘delivering’ is the wrong word – it’s more like he’s flubbing it. Again and again, the actor fails to properly says the word ‘benevolent’ to the amusement to his fellow cast and crew members. Viewers can see when Peter has grown tired of the retakes as he gently rests his head against his forearm, no doubt hiding the look of a broken man.
Of course, other actors are shown throughout the reel like Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen). Rory McCann (The Hound) can be found attempting to chop a small piece of wood only to find his axe stuck, certainly mocking the character’s famous strength. Kit is shown lying down, draped in what only appears to be a linen sheet, when he unexpectedly finds the cloth removed. Though the actor is wearing a privacy belt, the actor still freaks out for a hot second to try and cover himself up. And, understandably, Emilia is seen stumbling over a few lines in Dothraki.
The clip ends, however, with a deserved return back to Peter Dinklage when the video shows some behind-the-scenes downtime. In costume, Peter is approached by a crew member who tells the actor he’s been given an additional line up for a scene that the two must review. She recites the line, informing Peter that he’ll have to say the daunting word ‘benevolent’ once more. Peter reacts appropriately to the news, standing up from his seat to spew water he’d been drinking only moments ago.
I don’t know about you, but I’d love to see some more blooper clips from Game of Thrones. Surely, they’ve got to have more hidden somewhere. With a cast like theirs, there’s no doubt the footage would be hysterical.
