Could Chevy have something planned with the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice? Possibly, but they’re denying it left and right due to possible NDAs. Chevy filed for a trademark back in March called “Camaro Krypton”, but chief engineer Alan Oppenheiser told USA Today that it’s just a coincidence.

“I think that’s just internet buzz, which is great,” Oppenheiser said. “It’s another thing about this segment of cars: there’s always internet buzz.”

Yeah, there’s a difference between buzz and a striking coincidence that the car is being built in Lansing, Michigan where also the movie was filming last Fall, but Oppenheiser is sticking to his story. “Sometimes when we come up with a new color in our studios, they just apply [for a trademark] in case we ever use it,” he said. “We never said we’re going to do anything with that color.”

Well, not yet anyways.

What do you think, readers? Is this just a big coincidence, or does Chevy have something planned for the film’s release?
