The project, which has been long in development, is expected to move forward soon either with or without Scott in the director’s chair.
“Harrison and I really get on rather well, and so I sent him this and he said, ‘Wow, this is the best thing I’ve ever read,’” Scott Told MTV in the video embedded below. “It’s very relevant to what happened in the first one. I’m not just doing a sequel with lots of action and seeing how far we can go with the special effects becuase you can’t, really.”

He goes on to say that with Blade Runner, the bar was set high because the future they created seemed so “credible” to audiences.
Exodus is in theaters now. Blade Runner 2 is rumored to be in development for 2017.
