“It has been said, through the ages, without sacrifice there can be no victory,” Anthony Hopkins says in the first trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight. “Two species at war: one flesh, one metal. Optimus Prime has left us. One hundred billion trillion planets in the cosmos. You want to know, don’t you? Why they keep coming here. And now, two worlds colliding. Only one survives.”
At the end of the last Transformers film, Age of Extinction, Optimus told the Autobots to look after the Yeager family, and then he flew into space โ with the Seed โand sent a message to the Creators, telling them he’s coming for them. I’m sure we’ll find in The Last Knight what happened when Optimus confronted the Creators. Based on the trailer, seeing Optimus fight and stab Bumblebee, I’ll assume things didn’t go all that well for the Autobots fearless leader.
