Marvel Comics has released a fourth teaser image for their big crossover comic book event of the year, Original Sin.Like the first, second and third teaser images, this one asks an ominous question: “Who will watch us now?” This refers to Uatu the Watcher, who is shot dead in the first issue of Original Sin. The Watcher has watched the Earth for countless generations, even breaking his Watcher’s oath and intervening to help save the planet during its most dire moments. With Uatu gone, who will take over that role?This teaser breaks from the previous teasers’ style. Where the first three had the Watcher’s eye, which is taken from him when he dies, in the background with power arcing out from it, this one has an eclipse and darkness making it feel even more ominous and giving it a sense of finality.In Original Sin, Uatu the Watcher is murdered. The killer takes the Watcher’s eye, which has gazed upon the Earth for eons. The eye has seen the secrets that the Marvel Universe has tried to keep hidden, and now those secrets are coming out.It’s up to the heroes of the Marvel Universe to answer the question, “Who killed the Watcher?Original Sin is written by Jason Aaron with art from Mike Deodato, Jr.Original Sin #1 ships in May.
