Earlier today, when ComicBook.com reported on the announcement of The Marvel Experience, an interactive, traveling Marvel Comics event complete with games, motion comics and more, we speculated about how or whether it would impact Marvel Universe Live, a stage show and circus-like performance also announced to be traveling the country in 2014 featuring many of the same characters.Having not heard anything from the Marvel Universe Live folks in a while, we put the question directly to Feld Entertainment, who announced Marvel Universe Live back in March. Did a second live show suggest that Marvel Universe Live wasn’t going to happen after all? Or does it affect them at all?”No,” a rep for Feld told ComicBook.com bluntly, “as these are two very different experiences. Marvel Universe Live is a new and original epic adventure and the only arena spectacular of its kind; it’s a linear original story told through high-flying acrobatics and stunts. The Marvel Experience is an interactive exhibit similar to what is seen at NBA Fan Fest with rides and games for fans. Two vastly different fan experiences to enjoy the Marvel Universe.”A very succinct answer, and one that seems to reflect no particular ill will toward The Marvel Experience; it’s probably safe to assume that Feld have been in the loop on this much longer than the rest of us…!
