Thank the heavens, we’ve finally found a new way to experience Marvel Vs. Capcom 2—through acapella.

A one-man acapella group from TriForce Films Sound has recreated the sprite-filled tones from the Marvel Comics arcade fighter with nothing but his vocal cords, creating a video game experience that most gamers have likely not yet experienced in their lifetime.

The acappella film recreates the music used in the video game’s opening title sequence, the player-select menu, and finally the carnival stage. The acapella treatment may not be the orchestral brilliance found in most modern videogames, but its certainly a step up from the polyphonic tones that burn their way into the base of any gamer’s skull. The video that comes with the music is equally amusing, showing the singer dressed as some of the game’s characters.

Check out the video below. If you’re ambitious enough, you should play Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 muted, with this video cranked all the way up. But that’s just our opinion.
