The reviews for Marvel’s Daredevil Season two on Netflix are starting to pour in, and the consensus seems to be extremely positive, while highlighting a few niggling flaws. Our review is coming soon, but in the meantime let’s take a look around the web and get a pulse on what people are saying about the highly anticipated second season.

The biggest applause seems to be due for Elodie Yung’s take on Elektra Natchios. Of all the differences of opinion, there seems to be a common thread that she is superb in her performance. While on the subject of character revival, let’s talk Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. Throughout the first seven episodes, Punisher is not idealized in any way, and while there are shades of a less violent Frank Castle, that isn’t who he is anymore, and he is okay with that. Bernthal’s gritty take on the character is seemingly the one we’ve all been waiting for.

While there is a feeling of maybe too dark a tone so far in season two, especially in the early goings, the show does seem to find a balance a few episodes in. As for pace, it seems to be unanimous that it is way too slow. Most sites also agree that a scene meant to surpass the original hallway scene from season one doesn’t quite hit that lofty goal, but is fairly great nonetheless.

These are all based on the initial 7 episodes, so we will just have to wait and see how the second half of the season progresses. While we wait, you can check out our review soon, as well as these three spoiler free reviews.
