Production for The Maze Runner: The Death Cure has been halted indefinitely because of previous injuries suffered by lead star Dylan O’Brien.
Fox issued a statement regarding O’Brien (via Variety), saying:”The resumption of principal photography on ‘Maze Runer: The Death Cure’ has been further delayed to allow Dylan O’Brien more time to fully recover from his injuries. We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and look forward to restarting production as soon as possible.”

The original target date for resuming filming was May 9th, but it appears O’Brien could use some additional recovery time. The actor was hurt in an accident during filming, so it makes sense that the studio wants to remain cautious and have him at 100% before they start things back up.
The film is still set for a February 17th, 2017 release date as of now.
