Generations will feature several returning cast members from previous series Mortal Kombat: Legacy, includingCasper Van Dien as Johnny Cage, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Shang Tsung, and Morgan Sticke as Cassie Cage. The series will focus on the new generation of fighters introduced in Mortal Kombat X, with rumors circulating that Ron Yaun will play Hanzo, Booboo Stewart from X-Men: Days of Future Past will play Takeda, and Lewis Tan will play Kung Jin.
More recent rumors also have Ray Park as Erron Black and Haley Lu Richardson as an adult Cassie Cage. The character of Jacqui Briggs is also rumored to be making an appearance, and Arrow star Caity Lotz is said to have a role, possibly as Sonya Blade.
