To promote the season premiere, The CW put out a very patriotic (red, white and blue color scheme) and artistic banner of the Woman of Steel. You can check it out in the tweet below.

Also, at 3pm ET/12 pm PT today, Martian Manhunter actor David Harewood is conducting a live question-and-answer event for Supergirl fans on his official Facebook page.

Oh, and more thing โ€” The CW released a new Supergirl featurette that shows off the new Department of Extranormal Operations (DEO) headquarters. “There will be a new look to the DEO and I’m thankful for that,” Harewood says in the video (view above). “What happens this season is we see just the different facilities that the DEO has, maybe a bit more light, a bit more glass. Just keep it changing, keep it bright, keep it different, keep it exciting.”

THE CW HAS A NEW HERO AND SHE’S BRINGING SUPERMAN WITH HER โ€” When a new threat emerges in National City, Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) teams up with her cousin, Clark Kent/Superman (guest star Tyler Hoechlin), to stop it. Kara is thrilled to have family in town but it leaves Alex (Chyler Leigh) feeling a bit left out. Meanwhile, Hank (David Harewood) and Supergirl are stunned by the pod that came crashing to Earth.

“The Adventures of Supergirl” was directed by Glen Winter, based on a story by Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg and a teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg and Jessica Queller.

Distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, SUPERGIRL is executive produced by Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash), Ali Adler (The New Normal), Andrew Kreisberg (The Flash, Arrow) and Sarah Schechter (Blindspot, The Mysteries of Laura). Supergirl is based on the characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and appearing in DC Comics, by special arrangement with the Jerry Siegel Family.

Supergirl season two kicks off Monday, October 10 at 8pm on The CW.
