It’s finally happening! For fans of Pacific Rim, you may have wondered whether the kaiju blockbuster would ever get a sequel, but it most definitely is. Right now, production is underway on Pacific Rim: Uprising over on Australia’s Golden Coast with John Boyega at the lead. Now, the Star Wars actor is sharing a photo of him beefing up for the role.

And – well – he seems a bit lackluster about making leg day count.

Over on Twitter, Boyega shared a picture of him at the gym where he is training for Pacific Rim: Uprising. “Loitering while training,” the actor caption the photo, and his words are apt. Fans can see the actor sitting down on a mat with a twisted cap on and red workout gear. Of course, the actor is just taking a short break from his undoubtedly intense workout routine. Fans would be amiss to look over the actor’s toned physique, so they can give him a break for taking a breather.

Of course, Boyega is certainly going to need to be in top shape for his work on Pacific Rim: Uprising. The star, who has been cast as the sequel’s lead, is set to play Striker’s son from the original movie. With his heroic father’s legacy looming over him, Boyega’s character takes after him by becoming a Jaeger pilot. There’s no word on how the character gets involved with the dangerous pursuit, but photos were taken of Boyega donning a Jaeger suit on-set earlier this year.

Boyega will be joined by Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny, and Jing Tian in Pacific Rim: Uprising. The cast also includes Levi Meaden, Adria Arjona, Rahart Adams. Karan Brar, Nick E. Tarabay, Ivanna Sakhno, Zhang Jin, Mackenyu, Shyrley Rodriguez, Wesley Wong, Lily Ji, Chen Zitong, Lan Yingying, and Qian Yongchen.

Pacific Rim: Uprising is currently being filmed, and is expected to hit theaters February 23, 2018. The original Pacific Rim earned $411 million worldwide, with $101 million of that coming domestically.
