Principle photography on Star Wars: Episode VII is only three weeks away from closing, a major benchmark in the highly-anticipated film’s production.

The news comes from Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm Ltd. After photography, the film will move all post-production work to Lucasfilm visual effects company, Industrial Light & Magic. The company just opened its first post-production studio in the UK to tackle the slate of new Star Wars films heading its way. As Digital Spy reported, the bankable slate of films helped provide the necessary overhead to open the brand-new studio.

“This continues a long tradition of Star Wars movies being made in London,” Kennedy told The Guardian. “It goes back to 1976, and to know that we are now coming back and we will be making the movies once again based out of Pinewood and now we’re looking to put together ILM London, it’s rather remarkable that this has come together in less than two years.”

Once the film is passed into Light & Magic’s hands, it will create the portions of the galaxy far, far away that J.J. Abrams couldn’t on-set. With this being Star Wars and all, it’s safe to assume that will be a big chunk of the film.

Star Wars: Episode VII hits theaters December 18th, 2015.
