Like the hundreds of “Disney Princesses if they were ____” memes, the internet hasn’t let us down with Star Wars: The Force Awakens fan art. One of the prevailing positive notes critics and fans alike have noted is how seeing the film made them feel like kids again.

Well, Brian Kesinger has taken that to its logical next step, and merged The Force Awakens with a story all about embracing the feeling of being a kid: Calvin and Hobbes, Bill Watterson’s classic comic strip. You might know Kesinger’s work from Groot by Marvel Comics, the recent ongoing series. He also works as an artist for Walt Disney Animation Studios, so hopefully Disney won’t be too upset about him having some fun with their extended family.

The first image he posted in the mash-up, of Rey and BB-8 sledding down a sand-covered hill on Jakku, has been all over facebook. He also did combos for Finn (using the “Spaceman Biff” stories from Calvin), a dead-pan look at Poe, and a much more comical take on Kylo Ren and his “special relationship” with his idol from the past.

Check them out in the gallery below, and hit up Kesinger’s instagram for more great art, including an incredible (and spoilery) sketch cover for the Star Wars comic featuring Luke from Force, and several other Disney and/or Star Wars mashups.
