Like any trailer worth its salt, today’s preview of Ant-Man raised several questions about the half-inch hero and his connection to the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe. Is Darren Cross Making Another Super Soldier?

At the beginning of the trailer, Ant-Man villain Darren Cross/Yellowjacket makes a speech about developing “soldiers” with Hank Pym’s shrinking technology. Might Cross be jumping on the bandwagon with the rest of the Marvel Universe in developing a super-soldier army on par with Captain America? Now that Cap and The Avengers exist as an independent superhero army, maybe Cross wants to privatize the superhero arms race with super soldiers made of technology instead of an un-crackable serum.
