The Interview became available on the digital platform last Wednesday, December 24th after Sony Pictures made it unavailable to a majority of movie theaters. Earlier this month, North Korean hackers had made lethal threats against movie theater displaying the film, a comedy about the attempted assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, which prompted Sony and movie theaters to derail their originally-planned release on Christmas.

The Interview was originally barred from all movie theaters , but Sony made a last-minute decision to release it in 331 theaters on Christmas Day, a day after it was available digitally. The film went on to make $2.8 million at the box office over the four-day holiday weekend, while it generated more than $15 million in online sales as of Monday, December 29th.

The Interview is also digitally available on platforms YouTube, Xbox Live, and Seetheinterview.com for $5.99 to rent and $14.99 to purchase.
