After the first images for The Legend of Tarzan were released earlier in the week, Wednesday saw the first poster hit online. The poster was revealed on the official twitter account for the WB movie.

Alexander Skarsgard stars in the film and on the poster as the titular character. He towers over a wide shot of the jungle wilderness, and stands next to, a screaming gorilla. In the many various interpretations of the character since Burroughs created him, Tarzan has typically had sidekicks and partners from across the animal kingdom, usually apes of some sort. Apparently this one is going to go for strength rather than speed and agility.
